It’s easy to feel distant from God. Sometimes, the feelings come in response to problems in our lives. Other times, the problems are in our own hearts. This message looks at the promise of Immanuel that was given to people who had hit rock bottom. They felt a million miles from God and wondered whether they would ever feel close to Him again.

In order to accept Jesus, Joseph has to deal with ridicule from others, his own preconceptions and the fact that he will no longer be in control. To receive Jesus’ work in our lives today, we face the same challenges.
