We live in a world of unprecedented choices. We pick food from a buffet. We want the infinite choice of Amazon and on-line shopping. And we swipe right to choose a partner. But we can also bring the same mindset to God and the Bible. This message deals with how we can avoid the ‘choice mindset’ getting in the way of experiencing the blessing of God.
“The Year of Living Biblically,” is a book that became a sitcom, chronicling one person’s attempt to follow the Bible as literally as possible. It seems to conclude that most people either don’t take the Bible very seriously or instead pick and choose the parts they want to obey. The Bible, itself, however doesn’t recommend any of these options. This message looks at how the various parts of the Bible fit together and how they’re intended to be applied.
